Greek Yogurt Ranch Dressing Recipe

⅓ cup Greek Yogurt, plain, non-fat
3 tbsp buttermilk
2 tbsp fresh parsley
⅛ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp garlic paste
1 tsp vinegar
⅛ tsp dill, or to taste
salt and pepper to taste

Place Greek yogurt in a sieve and allow excess liquid to drain.
In a medium bowl, stir together strained Greek yogurt, parsley, vinegar, garlic powder, garlic paste and dill. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Self-Reliance …

Developing the skills necessary to assure the survival of yourself and family.  I touched on this in a post from yesterday … THE NANNY STATE.

Not being self-reliant means you have to depend on someone else to give you what’s needed to live.

It places you in a dangerous slave-like position.  You are no longer in charge of your life and must place yourself and the ones you love into another’s hand.

In today’s world, since most governments use a socialistic approach and provide types of “help” programs, it is becoming harder for people to be as self-reliant as they should be.   The real danger of government money-for-nothing programs is you are discouraged from becoming self-reliant through the rules they make.

The slave cannot be self-reliant.  The Gods created the Folk to be free … don’t allow anything or anyone to enslave you.

Hail Ása-Þórr (Æsir-Thor), mighty Protector!
Hail the Æsir, the Gods and Goddesses of war, power and wisdom!
Hail the Vanir, the Gods and Goddesses of love, fertility and home!
Hail the Ancestors, who have provided our long blood-line to the Æsir and  Vanir,  and give us guidance and support!
Hail the Trú Folk living on Midgard now, who honor and hail the Gods and Goddesses our Ancestors once hailed …
Who are raising the next generation of Folk to take great pride in their Northern European blood-line …
To know that they also are the Sons and Daughters of Odin!

I don’t want any government taking care of me!

I don’t want them to hand me a monthly allowance of money … I don’t want them to feed me … I don’t want them controlling my health. I don’t need them to tell me what’s safe or not.  Allow me to keep the wages I earn and I and my community will be fine.

I am Ásatrúr, a Son of Odin!

If given the right to be on my own I can take care of myself and kindred just fine!

The problem with an intrusive Nanny State is they take your money and resources before you know what’s happening.  And then you ARE dependent on them and they control your life.
